A founding partner of the firm, Abu Talib’s areas of practice include corporate and commercial law, corporate banking and company secretarial matters.
In 1988, he advised a major infrastructure company in Malaysia in connection with one of the biggest project financing initiatives undertaken in Malaysia.
He also represented and advised Malaysian banks on cross-border financing including, among others, a syndicated project finance facility in connection with a power project in the Philippines and an oil and gas project in Turkemenistan.
Abu Talib also represented a major banking institution in Malaysia on its US Dollar loan facilities granted by a foreign bank under the Government’s Miyazawa Plan.
